Same-sex relations are criminalized under Cameroon's Penal Code (article 347-1, introduced in 1972), with penalties of up to 5 years' imprisonment and fines. The 2010 Cybersecurity Law additionally criminalizes online same-sex propositions. There is no legal recognition of same-sex unions.
